We request guests to wear Semi-Formal attire. This provides you the option to be more relaxed than a “Black-Tie” event. But don’t let that stop you from going glam for the holidays.
We request guests to not wear the color red.
The weather can be unpredictable here in Texas. Historically temperatures in December have been cool however, in 2021 we had a few days reach the high 70s and low 80s. The wedding will be an indoor event to keep everyone warm. We will have an enclosed tent in the backyard, but bring a coat or jacket in case you need to step outside.
We opted to not establish a block of hotel rooms for reservation based on the location of our wedding. Fortunately, there are at least 5 hotels under a 15 minute drive from our home. Short-term home stays such as Airbnb are another option that can accommodate your travel party. If you’re open to sharing accommodations for a short-term home stay with other guests, feel free to reach out to us and we would gladly connect you with our other guests.
Your best choice would be to rent a car while you’re in town. The DFW Metroplex is vast and public transportation does not reach down south here in Mansfield. Although Uber and Lyft is an option, the fares can rack up quickly depending on your plans during your stay.
Bottom line, it will be first come first served as there is limited street parking here in our neighborhood. If at all possible, please carpool to the wedding. *Be advised, Texas law states it is illegal to park in front of a mailbox.
We look forward to your presence as you celebrate this day with us. If you wish you to bring a present, we request you bring a wedding card as it will be a part of a future scrap booking project.
Due to the noise ordinance for the City of Mansfield and out of respect for our neighbors, we will conclude the festivities at 9:00pm.
