We met at DateCincy's New Year's party at Igby's. DateCincy is a project started by a young couple in the greater Cincinnati area to encourage meeting people in person rather than online. Both of us had to be encouraged by friends or family, as this was outside our comfort zone. After about 15 minutes, we were both so glad we went. We were each other's first conversation of the night, and we kept running into each other. We exchanged numbers and made plans for our first date at a Turkish restaurant, Truva. At Truva, we tried lots of delicious traditional dishes. Our date lasted 4 hours, and we both knew we could see a long future ahead of us. Now we're here getting ready for our wedding!
