The venue is a historically significant building - it was turned from a farmhouse into an Inn to support the postal route between Hartford CT and New York City. A cannonball from the Battle of Ridgefield fired during the Revolutionary War remains embedded in the tavern's northern corner post. You can learn about this and other details about the Inn during an optional guided tour of the venue during Cocktail Hour
