Our Parents

A little more info about us and our dear parents.

Arcyl Orfiano

Bride

Arcyl is an introverted type of person blessed with incredible patience. She has an accounting degree and works in a bank. She is a homebody but she is always saving up for her next travel adventure. She dreams to travel to Europe, see the northern lights and walk the Camino de Santiago (with Hyman of course!).

Hyman Cortista

Groom

Hyman is the friendly and funny guy in a group. He always lends a hand to anyone who needs help. He loves his Playstation and he is always down to play board games with his brother and anybody else. He is also into cooking and he dreams to start his own food business someday.

Marciano Orfiano

Father of the Bride

Marciano is an Ilokano from La Union, Philippines. He is a schools district supervisor. He is a handyman who loves doing repairs and renovations around the house. He enjoys karaoke and classic Pinoy action movies.

Metch Cortista

Father of the Groom

Metch is a US Navy veteran and a great cook. He breeds gamefowl and doves in his home in Zambales. He loves to crack jokes and critique singers on TV. He also enjoys karaoke and classic Pinoy action movies. Hyman got his funny antics from his tatay.

Yolly Orfiano

Mother of the Bride

Yolly is a hard-working school principal and a doting grandma to their first grandchild. She is a proud Igorota from Mountain Province. She likes to make her own spiced vinegar, and Arcyl got her love for 'sili' from her mama. Arcyl is the third child out of four. Yolly and her husband, Marciano, are flying in from the Philippines to walk her down the aisle.

Mer Cortista

Mother of the Groom

Mer cooks the best kare-kare, Hyman's favorite Filipino dish. She has been living in the US for more than 25 years. She traces her roots in Cavite, the Land of the Brave. She loves cooking, collecting plants and watching health videos on the Internet. Hyman is the 'bunso' among their three kids.
