The Arciszewski family was planning a vacation at the Connecticut shore when Krista and her brother, Tyler, decided to invite friends along. Krista brought her best friend from high school, Bessie, and Tyler invited Kevin. Before the week at the shore, Kevin had just been a friend of her brother's who Krista had only met in passing a handful of times. During the week in Old Lyme, Krista and Kevin fell head-over-heels for each other and have been inseparable ever since.
