John and Steph met on Hinge, and luckily, they both swiped right. Their first date was spent watching an Avs playoff game. Lucky for them, the Avs kept winning that year, which gave them an easy excuse to keep seeing each other for every game. By the time the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup, John and Steph had found something even better than a championship season. They quickly bonded over their love of sports, especially football. John is a Broncos fan and Steph is an Eagles fan, which gave them even more to cheer for each season. They also found a shared love of hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors. Their love was so strong that John’s cat allergies disappeared like magic. Soon after, they moved into a home together, where he officially became Cece’s dad. Their family grew again when they adopted their son, Teddy Michael, who completed their family. Last year, John surprised Steph with a proposal during a hike, making one of their favorite ways to spend time together even more special. What started with a Hinge match and an Avs playoff game has grown into a home, a family, and a life they cannot wait to keep building together.
