We first met in February 2019. Chris sat down with a group of friends at Chuys Tex-Mex restaurant. Little did Chris know, his waitress that night would one day be his wife. When Savannah walked back up to the table after they had left, she saw a phone number left on a receipt. She immediately went up to her best friend Shannon, who worked with her as a waitress at Chuys (One of the bridesmaids!) and told her about it! At the time she thought why not?! He was cute and nice! She texted him that night. Chris texted back the next morning, and they started texting all the time! Their next time seeing each other was at MOD pizza. We laughed & had a great time. We continued texting and getting to know each other. A few weeks later Savannah asked Chris if he wanted to meet her at the Gym. (This next part is important because this is when Chris said he realized Savannah was the one!) We were walking around the indoor track in the gym, chatting and laughing. Chris then saw an EXIT sign hanging from the ceiling. Chris turns to Savannah and goes “You think you could run, jump, & hit that sign?”. Without hesitation, Savannah ran, jumped, & hit the sign. We both kept laughing. He says today that that was the moment he realized I was the one, my willingness to be goofy & laugh at ourselves is something we bonded over. Fast forward to August 2019…Chris asked Savannah to be his girlfriend during sunset at Clearwater Beach after a fun day spent together. In December of 2023, Chris & Savannah went to New York. Savannah was excited to see Chris’s hometown & meet the rest of his family. It was on that trip that Chris got down on one knee in front of the beautifully lit Rockefeller tree and asked Savannah to be his wife. Of course she said YES! Now we are looking forward to walking down the aisle February 6th! ♥️
