Our favorite Italian restaurant! This place is adorable and has a delicious menu. One of our top places to eat out and bring friends or family.
This is our neighborhood cafe and absolutely love it! It's perfect for a morning espresso and pastry, midday panino, an evening aperitivo before you head out to dinner or simply stop in for a relaxing glass of wine.
We are frequent visitors of Joe's Take Away! If you plan a nice for dinner in their dining room, then make sure to make reservations well in advance. Otherwise, their takeaway market is the BEST. They have a full bar, cafe tables and wonderful options on their takeaway menu. You'll have to try out Nick's favorite, the famous $9 fried chicken. You wouldn't expect fried chicken to be the famous item at a crab place, but trust us! Otherwise, their clam chowder, crab cakes or lobster roll are fantastic options.
We love this place, it's always our go to spot for Cuban coffee, pastries, empanadas, sandwiches and more. It's a great place to try with authentic Cuban options. Best in the morning or for lunch.
One of our favorite pizza spots. The original location in South Beach is tiny and hidden, but if you're able to get a table give it a try. Make sure you get the Star Luca, it is a must! If you are staying in Coconut Grove, they just opened a new, big location there. They also have a location in Wynwood and Brickell.
One of our favorite spots to visit often, we love Harry's! They have a great happy hour and a fun menu with unique twists on their pizzas and dishes. The pizza of the month is always something exciting to try. We love to sit at the bar for some drinks, pizza or a few apps. It's casual, delicious and a cute spot right off Lincoln Road. They also have a Coconut Grove location (however only the South Beach one offers a full bar).
Our favorite sandwich shop! You can grab a sandwich (get all the veggies on it) and sit at their window if there is room, otherwise we like to take them to go or bring them to the beach. They also have a Wynwood location if you happen to be spending time in that area of Miami.
Monty's is steps away from our place and it's always a nice chill and casual spot to grab a drink, some bar food bites and watch an amazing sunset on the bay over looking the city of Miami skyline. If you are in Coconut Grove, then you can checkout their location there as well!
If you are looking for some good, fast Mexican food then this is must! It is super casual and a great place to grab tacos and chill at the picnic tables with a Corona. They also have a speakeasy bar that's hidden at the door, so if you are looking to party late at night it's a really cool bar (young crowd), you can also get tacos after partying. They also just opened a Coconut Grove location!
This is a great Mexican restaurant. I love the elote cup, all their food is super tasty. It's a yummy and casual dine in restaurant to great Mexican food.
Great sushi spot, but if you go you MUST get the BUTTER CRAB ROLL!!! We are obsessed with it and so is everyone else in Miami! We always go to the Miami Beach location, however they do now have another location in the Brickell City Center if that is more convenient for you.
This is a great restaurant for their southern food and whiskey cocktails. Make sure to go hungry, they have so many delicious options. We love everything on their menu, it's definitely comfort food.
This is the best homemade ice cream spot! They are known for their extremely unusual flavors. Their ice cream is so delicious. They have a location on Lincoln Road and in Coconut Grove.
Lincoln Road is a very famous strip in the heart of South Beach. It is filled with restaurants and shopping. It is a great street to walk and visit. When you get all the way to the end of the strip it leads you to the ocean and boardwalk.
This is a historical street in South Beach with European village vibes. There are some yummy restaurants, bars and shops. The Esme Hotel is here- it is a super cute boutique hotel with a great rooftop bar. Our favorite restaurant on Española Way is Tropezon- it's a delicious Spanish cuisine menu with a great gin cocktail bar.
This is a place we have spent a ton of time. It's a great spot for a free outdoor workout on the beach. If you're around the boardwalk but not wanting to workout here then just walk by for some quality Miami Beach people watching.
We don't go out for a sit down breakfast often, but when we do, we come here. Their menu has some delicious options to choose from.
This cozy tavern is fun for us to visit. We like to sit at the bar for drinks and a good soft pretzel. They surprisingly have a yummy breakfast menu too! They have TV's if you are looking for a place to watch a game. They also have table shuffle board and a patio.
If you are looking for a chill spot for late night cocktails, this bar is small and cozy with a great cocktail menu. They are open very late and have great espresso martinis! This bar is also located in our neighborhood and walking distance to the hotels listed on our website as well as any of your AirBnB's in the South of Fifth area.
If you practice yoga or enjoy activities, you will like this yoga class. It's free, or by donation, and it's a great way to start the day, on the sand at sunrise. No need to sign up, just walk up and find a spot. It's everyday at 7am and 8am.
This area of the beach is our favorite because it's a lot more quite and residential, it's also our neighborhood beach and park. The park has a pier and beautiful view of the ocean, inlet, Fisher Island and the downtown Miami skyline. There is also a nice playground and splash pad for kids. There are lots of areas to setup a picnic or relax to enjoy the weather. There is a delicious gelato here as well. We love to grab a gelato at 4D Gelateria then walk the park.
If you are staying in Coconut Grove then be sure to walk all the cute streets and explore some great restaurants, shops and bars. We like Glass & Vine, Sushi Garage, Kush and Bodega. There are so many more great ones we know we are missing, but while you are exploring you almost can't go wrong. Also for a great brunch checkout Green Street Cafe.
If you are looking to see other cool areas of Miami then head over to the Art District, it is always a fun place to see. Checkout Wynwood for some trendy bars, restaurants, shops and graffiti art. There are so many great foodie spots, but one of our favorites is 1-800-Lucky.
This a short maze of unique graffit art within it's own walls. They are fun to see and great for Instagram photos. The Walls are surrounded by some awesome bars and restaurants. You can plan a trip to browse the very cool graffiti walls, then bar hop or grab some lunch or dinner at the trendy foodie spots.
If you are heading over to explore Calle Oche, then Ball & Chain is the best spot for great food options and live Cuban music. If you want some ice cream for dessert, the place just about next door is called Azucar. They have very interesting, Cuban inspired, flavors that are so so delicious. Another yummy, (very) famous, Cuban restaurant close in this area is called Versailles (the wait is long!).
For all our horse betting fans, don't forget to make a pit stop to see some races at this beautiful track! It's about 40 minutes from us here in South Beach.
