How do I get to Bloomington Indiana?

Answer

Indianapolis to Bloomington --> Take 69 South from the north side of Bloomington for about 45 miles. There are multiple Bloomington exits to enter the town. Evansville to Bloomington --> Take 69 North from the south side of Bloomington for about 190 miles. There are multiple Bloomington exits to enter the town. Indianapolis airport (IND) is the closest airpot to fly into when going to Bloomington, IN. There are car rentals at the airport or the airport shuttle is also an option. It is about a 45 minute drive from the Indianapolis airport to Bloomington, IN.

Where do I park?

Answer

If you are staying at the IMU Biddle Hotel, you can pay $6 a night to be able to park (and come and go) in their outdoor gated parking lot. The hotel has a 10 minute parking and unloading zone out front, so at any time you can use that area to bring in items on hotel carts or drop someone of to the main hotel reception area. The IMU hotel is where the wedding ceremony will be held. There is also the poplars parking garage which is free on Sat/Sun (415 E Sixth St Bloomington, IN 47408). It is close to the wedding ceremony, but you will most likely need to move your car to closer street parking for the wedding reception (or if it is a nice day you can choose to go for a long walk). There are also uber servies in our area and you may chose to leave you car in the free parking garage and just uber to and from the very close locations. Just make sure your car is out of the parking garage by 8am on Monday, or you could get a ticket. If you are staying at the graduate hotel, they have paid parking at a charge in their internal parking garage. Downtown Bloomington has parking meters that will be active on Saturday from 8am -9pm (some take coins and some require the parking app on the corresponding signs). Parking in metered spots and permits spots is open and free on Sundays. Parking at Windfall Dance (reception area) is possible in the small outside parking lot for mainly for guests who need disability parking or people dropping off wedding supplies (as the size is limited). Parking during the wedding reception will be free on Sunday, so please feel free to park on any of the street parking. 14th street is a very long street near Windfall Dance with many spots, but there are also spots close by on Dunn street or any of the side streets in that area.

Please wear dressy casual. Dress pants and a dress shirt or a cocktail dress are some examples.

How do I get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at the IMU Gardens. When you enter the IMU Biddle Hotel you take either the stairs or elevator up one flight (to the mezzanine level) and head to the left through the lounge to the garden area. If there are weather issues, the ceremony will be held in the Federal Room. Signs will be up to indicate where to go.

How do I get to the Cookie/Coffee hour in the Federal Room at the IMU?

When you enter the hotel, either take the elevator to the 2nd floor or the stairs and then the escalator (go right and down the hall) to the 2nd floor. Follow the signs to the west side of the building where the Federal room is located.

How do I get to the wedding reception?

Answer

Windfall Dance is located at 1101 N Dunn Streee Bloomington, IN 47408, only 0.8 miles away from the IMU. Please only park in Windfall's small parking lot if you need handicap accessibility parking. For everyone else street parking is free on Sundays (no permits required, even in permit zones). 14th street has a very large area of street parking, or you can park on any other side street or Dunn Street where Windfal Dance is located. This venue is extremely meaningful to us becuase it is a local non-profit that Aran grew up dancing with.

What is the best way to give a gift?

Answer

Please pick whatever option is easiest for you. We have listed options for venmo or a credit cards on our registry, but bringing or sending an item or check is also perfectly fine. We moved into our house in the fall of 2023 and have many projects that we knew we would need to work on when we purchased it. We are grateful for any help, but it is not expected. We are simply happy to have friends and family with us to celebrate this joyous event.
