Although we've not had authentic Italian food in Italy (yet) this restaurant offers Italian dishes that are delicious! Compared to most Italian restaurants, it's the least Americanized we've come across.

This is one of our favorite places to pick up a French pastry or dessert. It's a local business that's owned by a French couple.
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere
It might not be the fanciest zoo, but it's a fun environment for all ages. We love visiting the monkeys, meerkats, giraffes, tigers, bears, and guinea pigs.
Cheekwood Estate & Gardens
Normally, Cheekwood is filled with perennial flowers but during October they have their estate filled with fun and cute pumpkin designs. Not only can you tour their gardens but you can view their Cheekwood mansion as well. On a clear day, you can see all the way to downtown Nashville from their second floor! Both the estate and gardens are absolutely beautiful.
Mammoth Cave National Park
Yes, it's a little bit of a drive but well worth it! Tour hundreds of miles of Kentucky's caves. This is one of our favorite parks to visit.
Franklin Drive-In Theatre
Our favorite place to go to watch movies is at this family-owned drive-in movie theater.
