Travel Note
Martha's Vineyard can be reached by plane or ferry. There are frequent direct flights from Boston and New York on Delta and JetBlue, from Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C. on American Airlines, and from White Plains on Cape Air. If traveling by car, we recommend that you leave your car in one of the Steamship Authority lots in Falmouth, MA (Cape Cod) and then take the shuttle to the ferry boat in Woods Hole. Depending on the time of day, the ferry will arrive in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Advance purchase of ferry tickets for walk-ons is not necessary. We don't recommend bringing your car onto the island because vehicle reservations are required several months in advance of travel, and on-island taxis and Ubers are readily available. Edgartown is roughly 20 minutes by taxi or Uber from MVY airport, as well as from the ferry ports at Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs.

A waterfront inn with a swimming pool in downtown Edgartown. Although the Inn is unable to offer reduced group rates, it is a nice option for those who are looking to stay within walking distance of the Harbor View.
