Stefan was in Hawaii on a job for over a year. April started seeing him around and recognized that he was a new face in Hilo. After a few months of dating, a surprise pregnancy came along and April moved to Tucson where they started a family together. They spent a couple years traveling the country, renovated and sold a home, and bought their first house together as a family in Tucson. Stefan proposed on Christmas and they decided to hold off on the wedding. With Stefan furthering his career, April in nursing school, and another baby on the way, it didn't feel like the right time. After some thought they came to realize that there will never be a right time, and decided to get the show on the road!
