April's short story version: We'll skip all the short conversations at work for months and all the times we weren't able to get together with friends. I invited him to join me at a pool party with girlfriends after working a Saturday at John Deere. He came and we talked until 3-4 am, and when I finally got home I asked him on a date. However, I guess he was tired and fell asleep because I had to wait hours for a response that to me felt like days. He finally said yes, and I believe we set it up for a Wednesday night dinner at Arsenal. Anyway, We got to know each other pretty quickly at dinner. Then headed to Southbound, a local bbq bar and restaurant. It was a great night to say the least. Finally, I met a man that's trustworthy and would let me do what I wanted and doesn't hold back. That's for sure!!
Reginald's book: (hehe...) My version of this story will probably be a little different from my lovely fiancé! John Deere is where this fairytale begins. I worked in the Quality Department at the 5000 Plant and the plant was going through a major renovation. We relocated to the main front office where I met April. I befriended a coworker who worked across from April. I always thought April was a cutie pie with those big blue eyes and huge smile. The trap was set because she noticed me after I bought her a sandwich from my favorite place Which Wich and she discovered I was the mystery guy who drove the lifted GMC truck so our friendship began, and I had no idea it would turn into something more! Fast forward to a warm Saturday and April invited me to a friend's apartment to jump in the pool. I knew all of them because they were also coworkers. April and I stayed up to that Sunday morning just learning more about each another. We finally left the complex and needless to say I was exhausted! I made it home and texted her that I made it while asking if she had made it home finally. She confirmed she was home and before I could shut my eyes, she asked me out on a date. I thought about it and dozed off with the phone in my hand then jumped up to tell her YES! We went to a place called Arsenal and hit it off instantly. We didn't want the night to end so we ended up at another popular place called Southbound and the rest is history. The whole time while I was in that office, I had no idea that my “wife to be” was a row over from me. I thought I had a plan about my future but the Big Man upstairs was already ahead of me putting April and me in the right place, at the right time, and I can't thank Him enough for this wonderful blessing!
