Sara is April's oldest sibling and only sister. Sara has been a mortgage loan officer for over 15 years. Throughout these years, Sara has risen to the top of the mortgage industry and currently is killing it for Movement Mortgage. Sara's oldest son, Gabriel, also works with her! Sara's dedication to her work and goals make her one of the most driven women we know. We look forward to strengthening our bonds through this matrimonial time.

Sean Navales

Best Man

Sean is Quintin's youngest brother and now best man. Sean is an avid hiker. During our Covid shutdown, Sean, Quintin, April and Mary enjoyed the beauty of Yosemite, crowd-free, thanks to Sean's keen booking skills. We're so glad we invited ourselves! The three of them showed April how to lunch in the parking lot, Filipino style. She, in turn, introduced Sean and Mary to the floatie, river life! Sean is master of video games and was recently promoted at his job with the school district. Despite his seemingly timid nature, Quintin and April's relationship is strengthened by Sean's honesty and wit. We look forward to many more A's games together!

Son of the Bride

Aaron is April's first-born. Also a graduate of Ceres High School, Aaron is most known for his beautiful Auburn hair color. Aaron is engaged to Marcella Sanchez and has worked as a painter since 2016. In March of this year, Aaron moved into his very own first place. He continues to work hard at creating a space where he and Marcella can build the foundations of their future. Marcella's touch makes a warm, inviting place where Quintin and April can focus on strengthening the relationships with their adult children. Aaron has even dubbed Quintin his official Filipino Stepdad while the two barbeque it up!

Daughter of the Bride

Destiny is April's youngest child. Destiny completed her first year as a Sacramento State Hornet this year. She is studying to be a nurse with dreams of working in the neonatal department. While it has been difficult to navigate freshman year of college virtually, Destiny's ambition and organization has driven her to succeed. She has also works with Angelica's son, where she was just promoted to assistant manager. . Destiny was scheduled to move into the dorms in August of 2020. Due to Covid anxieties and precautions, Destiny's date to fly the nest was pushed back. Quintin, April and Destiny were able to grow as a family during our stay-at-home quarantine time. There isn't anything Quintin wouldn't do for his two girls. In March, Destiny flew the coop and now shares a home with Aaron and Marcella.

Arturo & Cristina Rodriguez-Cuevas

Padrinos: Bible

April is the first cousin once removed from Cristina. As kids, April's Dad Jesse, instilled the importance of creating and maintain relationships with cousins. Cristina would spend her summers in Modesto swimming, fighting and giggling with April until the inevitable "if you guys don't shut up Cristy going back to Oakland!" yell echoed through the house. Not only are April and Cristina best cousins, April is also Godmother to Cristian, Arturo and Cristina's son. Quintin and Arturo became fast primos over their love for the Oakland A's. This pastime guarantees the future of many double dates! Arturo and Cristina will be married 18 years this July. Their marriage is a testament of love overcoming any and all obstacles. Arturo is a prime example of a man providing for his family, while Cristina is the ever-prayerful, supportive wife. Their love for the Lord first and eachother second makes us honored to have them present us with our very first Bible as man and wife.

April and Angelica have known each other since they were teenagers. They attended the same middle school and high school. The two reunited as adults and have become the best of friends. Our "Journey" has united our families to love and serve in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. On May 21, 2016, our children, Tony and Destiny, were confirmed on the same day, with Angelica being Destiny's sponsor. On May 1 of this year, Quintin would further the bond by stepping in to sponsor Antonio and Angelica's middle son, Alex, for his confirmation to the Catholic faith. Angelica and Antonio are high school sweethearts who will be married 17 years this July. Their marriage inspires healthy independence, protection, and loyalty.

Tony and Regina have been instrumental in the faith formation of April and Quintin's faith formation. First meeting through a retreat hosted by Journey in Christianity, Tony and Regina have been spiritual leaders for our entire family. In time of utmost despair, Tony and Regina can be counted on. Throughout all of life's changes, the two offer open arms, support and advice that will get our butts to heaven!! Their newly rearranged home is always open. Aaron, Dee and Marcella have become the 2nd generation to be touched by their kindness and good taste in music over amazing home-cooked make. Tony and Regina will be married 34 years this year. You can still see their deep love when they look at one another. With Tony and Regina's guidance, we anxiously await our new ministry as a married couple.

Mary Navales

Mother of the Groom

Quintin is Mary's firstborn son and the middle child of 5. Quintin and his mother have a unique relationship because they both worked together at Maxim Integrated Products for 14 years. Mary is now retired and enjoys her time in her garden. Mary is an excellent cook and makes the best lumpia. She is always ready to show how much you mean to her in her small, subtle ways. We are grateful for the cherished dinners and visits we get to share.
