April started working as a personal trainer at Crunch in the fall of 2018. Shortly after, she noticed the music would change in the morning to her favorite weirdo boy music. She asked the front desk who was changing it and was told Matt DeLuca. They became gym buddies for a few years until they were both single at the same time. April was walking across gym floor one day when Matt said "Don't forget about becoming my girlfriend for the fall season". Many seasons have passed and they are still here, very happy and in love. Matt and April moved in together in the summer of 2023. Their favorite activities together include travel, exercise, watching horror movies, reading, eating, and spending time outdoors.

April's huge love of horror and the fall season prompted Matt to want to propose on her favorite holiday: Halloween. It was an unseasonably hot day, beautiful and sunny, when Matt asked April to go for a walk, which they do almost every late afternoon. He took her to the park behind their condo which was empty due to the holiday. April sensed something was up when Matt got quiet (because that never happens). Her favorite spot overlooks the brook with rocky outcroppings and trees all around. He lead her to the bench and got down on one knee where she of course said yes. Aprils parents threw a surprise engagement party immediately after, spooky themed of course.
