Ferry travel to England

Rosslare, Ireland

Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Ireland is divided from England in the east by the Irish Sea and St. George’s Channel. It is through this route, with ferry tickets to Ireland in hand, that tourists often arrive or depart from Dublin or Rosslare. To appreciate Ireland in its authenticity, spend some time away from the city. While Dublin, Cork, and Galway have their charms and attractions, one truly experiences Irish warmth when visiting small towns and conversing with locals at the village pub. When you venture out Ireland surprises you with its impressive castles, verdant rolling hills, dramatic coastline, and scenic locations that have been immortalized in movies. So, to relish the rustic character of Irish cuisine, revel in song and dance that form an intrinsic part of daily life, or for a spot of Gaelic football, book your ferry tickets to Ireland through Ferryscanner.

Horse Racing Ireland

Ireland

Horse Racing Ireland is the governing body of horse racing on the island of Ireland. It is based in the Curragh, County Kildare, next to the racecourse of that name. HRI was founded in 2001, succeeding the Irish Horseracing Authority, itself the 1994 successor to the Racing Board founded in 1945. Go to the link to find all race meetings available, they are amazing!

Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens

Oldtown Lane, Johnstown, WX Y35 HP22, Ireland

It is here where Martin proposed to April! Discover a history that dates back more than 800 years. Explore the turreted castle’s sumptuous interiors to understand what life was like for the colourful characters who lived and worked here, and connect with nature in the surrounding parkland and tree-dotted gardens on a fun and informative Wexford day out, whatever the weather! Take time to learn more about rural Irish lives when you visit the Irish Agricultural Museum. Its huge collection of original farming-related machinery, vehicles, and artefacts (some of which date back around 100 years), along with exhibitions and recreated scenes, fascinate visitors of all ages!

Irish National Heritage Park

Wexford, WX Y35 X313, Ireland

The Irish National Heritage Park opened in 1987 and has developed into a 35 acre outdoor museum, showcasing 16 reconstructed sites, each built using the materials and skills of the period. The main theme of the park is archaeological heritage and the promotion of tourism in the region, while supporting local employment and trades people. The name Ferrycarrig originates from the fact that there was a ferry crossing where the bridge now stands for over a thousand years and the town of Carrig which stood above it. It includes the remains of the very first fortification built by the Anglo-Normans in Ireland. It also comprises a variety of landscapes, from hillside, to estuary, to woodland, to river bank. As you journey through the park, the features and installations are all in authentic settings, from the Dolmen, to the Fulacht Fiadh, to the Crannóg, to the Viking ship.
