We love kids! But, for the wedding, this is an adult event. So, enjoy your adult night out kid free!
The dress code for the wedding itself is semi-formal. We ask that men wear slacks with a polo or dress shirt (no jeans/cutoffs/tshirts), and ladies wear a dress or slacks.
The hotel has a parking garage behind it. You can either park in the garage (make sure to pull in- not back in per county law), or do the metered parking (which is quite expensive and the time is very short). To find the parking garage, in the traffic circle, turn right at the left side of the hotel, and then immediately before the Majestic theater, an alley will be on the right- It's called Racehorse Alley. There is a small sign on the building, but it's easy to miss. Turn right and the garage will be visible.
There is a block of rooms reserved at the hotel for wedding guests. Guests will be asked to cover the cost of their rooms. We did get a special discount for the room. When you call the hotel, tell them you are with the Matthews-Guzinski wedding. You will have several options for rooms. (If you dare, ask for the 700 wing..... only if you dare...... LOL)
Guests will be responsible for their own food Friday evening (the hotel has a restaurant inside), and Saturday morning/lunch. We will provide the dinner Saturday night and, for those staying at the hotel, a brunch will be served Sunday morning. (The brunch is only for guests of the hotel.)
When you RSVP for the plated dinner, please select one of the general categories (Chicken, Beef, Vegetarian). The Vegetarian meal will be Eggplant Rollatini with Angel Hair Pasta and Marinara The Chicken Meal will be Parmesan Encrusted Breast of Chicken with Fontina Cream and Tomato Relish The Beef Meal will be 10 oz Prime Rib of Beef with Au Jus All meals will come with a garden salad, fingerling roasted potatoes, and green bean almondine. Assorted breads will be served as well. Hors d'Oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour, as well as assorted cheese and raw vegetables. Hors d'Oeuvres will be Old Bay Crab Fondue with breads and crackers; Scallops wrapped in bacon; and miniature beef wellingtons
For anyone coming in Friday, if we have enough participation, we can arrange a ghost tour of Gettysburg. Please RSVP to the welcome event if you are interested. A nominal charge may be incurred if participating.
We have to have our final headcount no later than February 2nd. Unfortunately- anything after that date, we cannot change.
