Need a pick me up on your way to San Francisco? Or want to bring it back home? Dead Eye offers their cold brew coffee by the pint! Just pour over some ice and you're good to go for the next 3-5 business days! Can't skip out on their spiced rose latte! My dad would pick up jugs at a time when he knew Julian and I were coming to visit. That way, we could take so many home to Salinas for us and for Tita Dina.
Ben Tre is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in South City. This is where we ate when our parents met for the first time. We laughed over memories from our Nevada-Utah-Arizona road trip. Like when we (April, Inno, Tita Dina & Tito James) were all admiring the stars above, only to find out we locked ourselves out on the front porch of our cabin. We were howling with laughter when Inno jimmied the window and climbed through to unlock the door into our cabin.
Valerios Bakery, Jollibee, Red Ribbon, oh my! Pass by for some empanadas for the drive home! This is where we go for all our Filipino cravings before we drive back to Salinas. Whenever we stay over in South City, Tito Manny always makes sure to pick up silog for breakfast. Nothing beats garlic fried rice, eggs, and tocino or longanisa in the morning!
It's a beautiful walk with a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge! We come here at least once a month to go climbing at the Movement climbing gym located in the Presidio. Nothing beats sending a route and seeing Alcatraz or the city in the distance. Don't forget to visit the Warming Hut for a nice cup of coffee or hot cocoa paired with a yummy scone.
