Question

What date should I RSVP and/or pay by?

Answer

October 1st will be the date that we need all RSVPs and payment for the weekend. (price and payment info is in the “Travel” section of the website as well as the “RSVP” page) Please contact us with any issues with price, dates, or technical difficulties. We are happy to help!

What is the address of the property where we will be staying?

Answer

De la plaza de La Angostura 100 Este, Macacona de Puntarenas, Costa Rica You may need this address when booking your travel. Please let us know if you need any other information about the property.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We will be having our wedding ceremony outdoors. Our reception will most likely be outdoors as well, but we are staying on the property so we will have easy access to go indoors.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You can expect highs around 78 degrees and lows around 62 degrees. We will be in Costa Rica just after their monsoon season so we aren’t expecting any rain, but anything is possible!

Will there be transportation to and from the airport?

Answer

Yes! Transportation to the property will be provided, however this will require us to know your itinerary so we can schedule a pick up for you. We will ride in groups of 10-14, so it’s possible you may have to wait at the airport for a while since we will have to coordinate pick ups with arrivals.

What time should I schedule my flight?

Answer

The property is about an hour and 10 min away, and the resort staff will be providing pick up/drop off in groups, so I would avoid super late flights in if you can. An early afternoon arrival/departure would be ideal, but keep us informed on what flights are available for you. We will be flying in a day early (Dec 5) and staying at Hotel 1915. Hotels around the airport are priced around $30-$70/night. Let us know if you would rather fly in the day before and we can help you find a hotel nearby or send you the info to book at our hotel.

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code is beach formal. Think flowy dresses, button up shirts, etc… Our wedding will be outdoors on grass, so plan for shoes that you will feel comfortable in. We have a rough color scheme attached to the photo at the bottom of the homepage of this website. You don’t need to wear these specific colors, but shoot for similar shades!

Do I get a plus-one?

Answer

Almost everyone invited will be getting their own invitation. If you have a plus-one, this will be indicated on your invitation. We understand that you may want to bring along others for support, but we have planned an awesome weekend for our closest friends and family and have limited rooms available.

What type of food will be served over the weekend?

Answer

Authentic Costa Rican meals will be included almost every day. This style of food will also be served during the day of the wedding. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know by October 1st so we can finalize meals with the caretakers at the resort. Some meal times may occur during one of our included excursions. If this is the case, we may end up eating somewhere in the area and this is not included. Please be ready with a little extra money to spend just in case this happens.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Wedding gifts are not expected as it is just amazing that we can spend our wedding out of the country with our favorite people. However, if you would like to sprinkle a few cherries on top, we recommend accepting donations towards our honeymoon. You can contribute to our funds on our registry. We already have everything we need for our home, but if you would like to send a physical gift, it can be sent to our home. 222 Hay Barn St, San Marcos, TX 78666

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Please take photos! We will provide a link at the end of the weekend for everyone to upload the photos they took so we all can see them!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Feel free to post photos of the wedding/weekend as it happens. We just hope you share the memories you captured in the link we will provide.
