It all started in Arkansas. I went with his aunt to pick him up from the airport cause she couldn't drive that good. We hung out that day and he started telling everyone that I was going to be his wife. I'm like quit telling folks that cause you messing up my game and I don't know you like that. I guess he won me over and I became a little more interested in what this city slicker was all about. I had an upcoming vacation the next month, so I decided to visit him in Michigan. I didn't know that he had already asked my dad for my hand in marriage. He took me to Olive Garden for dinner. I'm a country girl and hadn't ever eaten there and didn't know what to order. We ate and went back to his place. I was sitting on the couch and he came and sat down on the floor next to me and pulled out this box while shaking tremendously. I'm looking crazy, cause like I said it's only been 4 weeks. "He said will you marry me". I'm looking like I know he's playing. I eventually said yes. I finished up my bachelor's degree at Henderson State University and on December 31, 1999 Ann Arbor Michigan became my new residence. We decided to elope in Las Vegas, NV on April 22, 2000. Here we are 20 years later with 2 kids and we couldn't be happier. Everyday hasn't been perfect but we are perfect for one another and our love continues to grow. I love this man and he tells me daily how much he loves me and is in love with me.
