Maid of Honor
Who say’s the mother of the bride can’t be a maid of honor? I owe my life to her… quite literally. She’s my mom, my rock and my world. She’s walked through many storms yet still made the world gentle for her kids. I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side. Fun fact, I asked Bette Midler to write this from me- to you, “Did you ever know that you’re my hero? You’re everything I wish I could be.”
Maid of Honor
Yeah, she use to chase me out of her room with a cup of dead spiders but I’ve forgiven her. We may not have always seen eye to eye growing up but as life’s tested us both, I’ve realized there’s no one tougher, stronger or more real than my sister and no one that has my back like she does. In fact, she’d knife a B for me. “From the second time around, the only love I ever found, oh, Angela it’s a long time coming. Home at last”. The Lumineers wrote this song for you.
Matron of Honor
Hear about those two 10 year old girls that had the winning talent show dance routine to “Ice Ice Baby” at CK Burns School? Yeah, that was us. She’s the kind of friend that doesn’t just walk into a room- she fills it with “good vibes”. She’s one of the firsts to celebrate my highs and holds me up during my lows. She is also the one that convinced Lindsey to get our matching anchor tattoos… hasn’t happened yet but it will. I think that Robert Van Winkle was referring to our friendship when he said, “Anything less than the best is a felony”
Matron of Honor
I’m pretty certain that there isn’t a memory from my teenage years that doesn’t involve her. Except of course, that short period of time when she was forbidden to hang out with me… we won’t get into it. There was this one time we survived snow storm “donuts” in the bed of a truck. She’s not only my longest friend, she’s been by my side through every season of life. I can’t imagine my life without her. Btw, that anchor tattoo that Casey is going to convince you to get, is going to look great! “Take my wet breath away”… again, we won’t get into it.
Maid of Honor
You need a ride or die, she’s your girl…. But you can’t have her, she’s mine. She’s strong, beautiful and also my human google. The only thing that I would change about our friendship is to have met her sooner. She’s seen me at my best, my worst and my “wtf is even happening” moments- and still shows up with strength and champagne. Watch the Duck said it best, “You a special little freak to me girl, so you can goin’ on and get cheese”
Maid of Honor
I’m pretty sure that people wonder if we’re enemies when we’re in public together. Pure sarcasm is our love language. No sugarcoating from this girl. She will tell it like it is and I love her for it. She is a strong, independent woman who single handedly raised a smart-mouthed version of herself... Karma at its best. Honestly, I admire her more than she’ll ever know. In the words of O.D.B., “You’re my shining star, girl”
Best Man
I have very few friends…I’ve never been the type to stay in touch much but it doesn’t mean I don’t care I just need someone that can go weeks or sometime months without talking and Justin has been that friend. You know you have a great friend when they show up early to help you move and even bring a truck. Justin came into my life later and I’m glad he did.
Groomsman
Jamison is my youngest son and he often surprises me with his maturity. He is only 19 and handles himself like a 29 year old. Jamison is also a Yankees fan so that automatically makes him qualified to be apart of my groomsmen.
Groomsman
The man that gave me permission to marry his sister…got to be a tough thing especially as special a lady that April is. I have grown and gained a new 3rd brother in Dennis and am proud to have him in my posse.
Groomsman
I asked Ashton if he wanted me as his stepdad and although I eat all of his chocolate, he said yes without hesitation…I realized then that I had a new son. Ashton will share the honor of walking his mom down the aisle alongside his brother.
Groomsman
Trevin (Mini April), I miss the days I’d drop him off at school and tell him “learn lots”… and then he ended up on the honor roll of course. I asked Trevin if he wanted me as his stepdad and he said yes so hopefully I don’t screw it up. His other role is to help his brother keep their mom from tripping on her dress by walking her down the aisle.
Groomsman
Ed is one of my newest friends and has become a close one even though we don’t hang that often. He makes me feel welcome and part of the friend fam. If I were stuck in Mexico and had a fist full of $100’s I’d want Ed with me…
