Our story begins in 2013 at the Rosen College of Hospitality at UCF. At the time, we were all living in the dorms, and we were ready to move off campus. We were told that the two of us would get along great by our mutual friends because of our love for good food, Christmas and holidays, and roller coasters/theme parks. The Kempton Chase house turned into a reality after the rental company agreed to rent a house to seven college kids. It was true that once we were all living together we became fast friends. When Halloween rolled around, we decided that our house needed to be part of the celebration and we bonded over decorating. Over the next year, we became even closer friends and inseparable. In February of 2015, after spending nearly two years getting to know each other, Eric formally asked me to date. Although it was a unique dating experience since we had been living together for quite some time before dating, we quickly made something we had chatted casually about for awhile become a reality-a trip to Las Vegas for Eric's 21st birthday! We had an incredible time learning to travel together, and from there, although independently established, our love for traveling together came to fruition! We have spent the last six years traveling the world as much as we have been able to. Along with that, we both have continued to push each other to be the best we can be and continuously grow! On December 8, 2018, on our annual Christmas weekend in New York City, Eric led me to the top of a rooftop under the guise that it was a speakeasy. After a few mishaps, we got off the elevator and rounded a corner to see a saxophone player playing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (my favorite!) along with a photographer snapping pictures. Eric quickly got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course the answer was, "yes," and this became known to us as a personal "Miracle on 34th Street" (one of my favorite movies and what Eric emulated the proposal after).
