You will park at a school parking lot and board a shuttle up to the ceremony. At no time should you drive up to the house and park- the street is beautiful but very narrow, windy, and there is just not enough space. Taxis, Ubers and Lyfts are also a great plan. Check Travel page for details for shuttle.
Although events like the welcome gathering at Beer 30 are casual, the wedding will be cocktail attire. This means suits but no tuxes, party dresses, a formal jumpsuit, fancy skirt/shirt combo, etc. No white dresses, obviously. And make sure your footwear is appropriate for all terrains including uneven grass.
September is indeed still summer in Santa Cruz. BUT the evenings do cool off quite a bit so we suggest that those without sleeves have a sweater or wrap option for the dancing portion of the event.
San Jose is the closest airport but San Francisco is an option if needs be. Just make sure you leave enough travel time to get from the airport to Santa Cruz. Check the Travel page for details.
You are correct, there aren't that many gifts on our registry. We both have a lifetime of stuff so we only registered for things we really want. If you'd still like to give us a gift but there isn't one available that you like, feel free to contribute to our cash fund, or one of the bigger group gifts where you can choose any amount you like. If you are not comfortable doing that online, you are welcome to bring a card. You being there is the most important to us!
We will not confiscate your phones so use them with reasonable discretion and do not get in the way of our very nice photographer. She is there so you can enjoy the day with us! Of course, silence your phones during the wedding but if you want to take pictures with your friends and family, go for it. We'd love to see those pictures so tag them with #AprilCashesout
YES. Santa Cruz is beautiful and picturesque and therefore, still filled with tourists in September. We've listed some reasonable hotel options on the Travel page but don't discount Air BNB's. If you know others that are attending it may be worth it to split an Air BNB rather than a hotel.
