Saratoga will be your best bet for lodging! The wedding area is outdoors in the national forest- but we recommend Saratoga to be the best place to stay.
We recommend that you fly into Denver International Airport. (DIA) Laramie is a closer option, however the flights from this airport tend to be finicky due to it being a smaller regional airport. Your flight in/out will connect you to Laramie from Denver- there are generally no direct flights to Laramie.
I highly recommend renting a car or carpooling with a group! I like to use Budget to rent a car as this tends to be an affordable option. You’ll see once you get out here that things tend to be a bit more…remote. The drive from DIA to Saratoga is about 3.5 hours, over the Snowy Range pass. It’s an absolutely beautiful drive and you might see our wedding location on the way! There is another option to take Groome transportation- this is a shuttle/ bus service ($) that will bring you into Laramie- where you will be able to rent a car from the local enterprise
We ask you to dress in comfortable “wedding” attire. Being in Wyoming, we love to embrace the cowboy way of life. Wear your favorite boots or even a cowboy hat! The theme is Wyoming Wildflowers. Our goal is to capture the feeling of all the beautiful flora and fauna in the area.
The weather is mild in July- it tends to be on the warmer side- during both day and night. Things can change at any moment though! Last summer we had about a 10 minute rain shower every day around 5/6:00. The wedding will be outside- so do your best to plan accordingly. It can also be a little windy on top of the mountain. Be aware that the altitude and dry air can effect you as well! I recommend LOTS of water, chapstick, and sunscreen.
We would like to keep this a child-free event- please no children!!
We ask that just the people listed on the invitation attend our event. As much as we would love to have as many people as possible celebrate with us, we would like to keep the ceremony small to capture the intimate setting of the area. Thank you in advance!
