Of course! Just indicate that you would like to sponsor a dinner in your RSVP

Why are we being asked to give twice?

Answer

The participation to attend the event is purely to cover the dinner itself, as it will be an elegant dinner catered by an experienced chef. The anniversary fund is a voluntary offering that will be put towards additional costs for the celebration (flowers, venue, etc) as well as going towards gifts for the couple, like an Alaskan cruise and a weekend getaway. If there are any additional funds after covering expenses, they will be given to the couple directly as a monetary gift.

What if I want to attend the celebration, but I cannot afford the dinner?

Answer

Please RSVP yes, and indicate in your RSVP that you need sponsorship for the dinner. Although we hope everyone will make an effort to cover their participation, we understand that not everyone is in the same financial situation, and there will be a limited number of sponsored spots available.

What if I would like to give my own gift?

Answer

We are asking that everyone contribute to the anniversary fund, so that as a family, we are able to gift them the cruise. However, if you would like to give a personal gift on top of that, you are welcome to.

What if I cannot make it in person, but I would like to participate in the anniversary celebration?

We will be sending out a letter soon to organize online participation.

Are children welcome

Answer

Yes, children are welcome at the celebration. Children's plates are priced at $25. If you have very small children, they are welcome to come without ordering a plate, and parents will be expected to provide whatever food they will need. If you have older (teenage) children or big eaters, please consider that the children's plates will be smaller portions and it may be better to reserve them an adult plate
