Rooms typically have ocean views, even if ocean front is given as the category name. Higher rooms and rooms in the Excellence and Finest Clubs will offer the best ocean view accommodation options. Excellence Club is for adults-only and Finest Club is for families Restaurants are typically closed between 4pm and 6pm For guests who do not want to dine with children we recommend later seatings for dinner (after 8pm) when there are less families typically dining. Dress codes are strictly enforced in the evening. Men will need to wear long pants, shoes (jeans, dockers, and sneakers are acceptable). Sandals are not allowed for men in restaurants in the evening except for buffet without exception. A daily list of activities and restaurant closures is provided. Restaurants rotate closures and even the buffet may be closed on themed event nights. Restaurant reservations are only required at Shoji, the teppanyaki restaurant at The Finest Playa Mujeres

WHAT TO DO AT HOME

Download the Excellence Collection App. You can pre-check in to the resort up to 7days before you arrive. Spend less time checking in and more time enjoying the resort. Once you arrive, pair the app to your room. Here, you will find the open restaurants, get alerts when your table is ready, menus, restaurant dress codes, daily activities and pillow menu (yes, pillow menu). Make copies/take pictures of your drivers license, passports and credit cards. Leave a copy with someone at home.

*WORDS OF ADVICE* -Fly the red-eye for more time at the resort! If you arrive before check-in time, you can use all the amenities (pool, restaurants, activities, etc.). Pack a small bag with swimwear and other necessities to utilize the resort while you wait for your room to be ready. -Please give yourself at lease 24-36hrs before the wedding to arrive, in case of any delays or cancellations.

There is also a store called Market Deli at La Amada residences next door (outside the front gate and 6 minutes to the left). RESORT TIPS & TRICKS

1. When checking in, if you have a preferred time for housekeeping and turn down service, let them know and they will note it. 2. You receive 15% off spa services if you book before you arrive. You can find the spa menu on their website or email them - onespa@finestresorts.com 3. People have mentioned the shower floors being slick. Most people just put a towel down in the shower, but some have brought a cheap bathmat and left it there. Up to you, just don’t want anyone to get hurt. 4. The shower is full glass and the bathroom door is frosted. If you have any privacy issues, some guests bring command hooks and a sheet to put up or a cheap shower curtain with hooks. If not, when someone needs to use the bathroom, they can just close their eyes and look down. 5. Apparently, there is a motion sensor that turns on the bathroom light. If this bothers you, you can put a sticker or some tape over it. 6. There are no door handles on the outside of your balcony door. If you find it difficult to slide the door open with your hands, you can shut a towel in the door and use that to pull it open. You won’t want to leave the door open because of the humidity. 7. There is a service box in your closet that can be accessed from the hallway. You can set up a standing order of coffee, croissants, fruit, etc. To be delivered at a certain time every morning. They will deliver it without disturbing you & you can grab it when you’re ready. 8. You can bring your own float to use in the ocean. You can also use these floats in your private pool at your suite, but not the main pool. The water sports guys will blow it up for you. 9. Lock everything in the safe in your closet. Money, passports, sunglasses etc. If there are any issues with your safe, immediately call the front desk to come fix it. This is a good rule of thumb at any hotel. 10. When ordering a drink, specify the brand of alcohol you want. In your room, you have 4 fully sealed bottles of wine/liquor.
