Rachel & Adam met in Gilbert, Arizona on a Friday night in early May of 2016. Rachel was bartending at Zipps that night and served Adam his post-work drinks at the bar while he wound down and watched some baseball. She got him a tequila on the house and they started chatting. They realized they knew a lot of the same people, as Adam was the bartender at La Ristra, only half a mile down the street! He asked her to come in on Sunday, so that he could return the favor with the "best margarita she's ever had." Rachel did go to La Ristra on Sunday after her shift and the spicy prickly pear margarita he made was pretty damn good, but getting to hang out with the cute bartender definitely ended up being better!

Adam proposed on a trip to Scotland on September 20th, 2018. After a fun filled week in Edinburgh, they boarded a train through the Scottish Highlands up to Inverness. They met up with Rachel's Aunt Marie & Uncle Mick. Originally having planned to propose at Loch Ness the following day, Adam decided while the four were in their suite at the hotel that the time was right and popped the question, which followed with a resounding yes! When they returned to England, they celebrated at a lunch with Rachel's family, where the planning began among her cousins & aunts!
