We're Getting Married!

Jessica & Jason met on a beautiful California summer day. They had each just finished a workout on Santa Monica beach. Jess, running a couple miles, and he basking in the sun after getting a lift in. He approached her on the green grass as they cooled down with a stretch. They talked. Time escaped her. She got a parking ticket for parking in a 1 hour time limit zone. It was worth it. :)

They went to a local Mexican Restaurant for dinner in the middle of a work week. Halfway through a candlelit dinner in the outdoor patio, he professed his love & admiration for her, and then she looked down. A beautiful pink sparkly ring and a very handsome smile behind it. This was the moment. Cue the tears.

Jason was born and grew up in Columbus, Ohio with parents Bruce & Libbie Trott and younger sister Holly. He was athletically and intellectually gifted from a young age earning himself accolades at The Ohio State University, one of only six universities to have won a NCAA championship in baseball, & recognized as a national champion in football. With an opportunity to play college baseball- one of his passions ever since he was a little boy, his career highlights consisted of being a three-time batting champion & All-Time leading hitter in Ohio State history. He traveled the country coaching for the NFL, Triple A Baseball, and Major League Baseball. He then proceeded to go back to Ohio State to get a Masters in Business. He eventually moved to sunny Santa Monica, CA in search of "ocean living" and nice weather, where he eventually met Jessica in 2013. Jason's passions include: cooking, working out, going to local Farmer's Markets, spending time near the ocean, taking road trips with his fiance Jessica, and spending time with family in Florida.

Jessica was born in Mexico, Zacatecas, eldest daughter to immigrant parents Valentin & Lorena Aparicio, and sister to younger siblings Lizeth and Jacqueline. From a young age, Jessica's parents worked hard to give their daughters the best life and opportunity at achieving the American dream. Growing up in SoCal in competitive sports and with a father whose lifestyle was all about health and wellness, it was a no brainer that Jessica followed in similar footsteps. Cross Country Running and Track and Field were her forte, and she excelled in both breaking high school records and qualifying for the California State Championships as a freshman. She would later move to Los Angeles from the suburbs to begin a career in Broadcast Entertainment at MTV Networks in Santa Monica, & other local news stations, with a realization that the industry lacked substance. The Medical field and health and wellness was more fulfilling. :) Flash forward to running on the beach and meeting a handsome Mid-West guy. Jessica's passions include: working out, traveling with Jason, working, spending time near the ocean, shopping, & spending time with family.
