Things To Do

You’re in Wyoming! Get outside and enjoy the great outdoors! As far as nature goes, Jackson is unbeatable.  With Grand Teton National Park just around the corner and Yellowstone National Park about an hour away, the hiking options are overwhelming, to say the least.  Not a hiker?  Rent a bike. Visit the Jackson Hole Historical Society. Ride the tram to the top of the mountain.  Drive through Teton National Park and look for bears.  Rent a boat and spend the day on Jackson Lake.  Okay, it might be tough to squeeze in everything, but make sure you get outside at some point!

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is just to the north of Teton Village on the Moose Wilson road. There is an entrance fee to get in to the park. Once there, you can drive to various points to see the sites or get out of your car and explore on foot. For those new to the area, there are grizzly bears in Wyoming. This is not a joke! Make sure you are bear aware and bring bear spray with you on all hikes – it is a must. Bear spray can be rented for $8 a day from Teton Backcountry Rentals or purchased for $50 a can. If you are lucky, you will see bear, elk, moose, bison and a bald eagle on your trip…but keep your distance as these are wild animals!
