What kind of wedding can we expect?

We are beyond excited to celebrate our wedding with all of you. Our special day is a beautiful fusion of Punjabi & English cultures, and blending traditions that are meaningful to us. You’ve been thoughtfully invited to share in this unique celebration, and we hope you bring the energy of love, fun, and respect for the cultural mix we’re embracing. We’ve put a lot of care into every detail, and we can’t wait to create unforgettable memories with you!

When is the RSVP Deadline?

We kindly ask that you RSVP by March 18th, 2025, so we can finalize all the details for our special day. Your response means the world to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate together!

If your invitation includes a plus one, you’ll have the option to RSVP for them. We kindly ask that you only bring a guest if your invitation specifies it.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We’re thrilled to celebrate with you at our family’s private ranch! While it’s a beautiful and unique space — it’s not your typical venue. This is a real functioning ranch which has live animals, farm equipment, electric fences, ponds, and wildlife. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you carefully consider whether to bring children. If you do, please ensure they are supervised at all times and do not wander freely on the farm. While we’d love to have kids join us, we encourage you to consider childcare if possible. If you do bring children, please let us know in advance so we can assess how best to accommodate them. Based on the number of kids attending, we may provide a designated play area or additional safety measures.

What will the weather be like?

While it's too early to provide an exact forecast for May 18, 2025, in Oakville, Ontario, typically in Mid May... Temperature: Average daytime highs around 16-18°C (61-65°F); nighttime lows near 8-9°C (47-49°F). Precipitation: May generally sees moderate rainfall, averaging about 85 mm over approximately 10 days in the month. Sunshine: On average, May enjoys around 230 hours of sunshine, indicating a fair number of clear or partly cloudy days. It's advisable to prepare for mild temperatures with a chance of rain. Is the shuttle the only way to get to the venue?
Answer
Yes. To keep things running smoothly on the big day, please make sure to take the bus—we’ve made arrangements to get everyone there on time, and parking will not be available at the venue. Shuttles will depart at 3:50 PM from the Oakville IHG Bronte Hotel, with a second shuttle at 4:30pm. For your return, we’ll have 2 shuttles running at various times throughout the night to bring guests back to the same location. We want to ensure everyone has a safe and convenient way to enjoy the celebration!

How do I get to the venue?

We’ve arranged free parking and shuttle pickups at the following locations for your convenience: 📍 IHG Hotel Oakville Bronte Parking Lot 📍 Bronte GO Stations (48 hrs free parking) * This is a private ranch, so please note that parking is not available at the venue.* To help us keep things running smoothly, we kindly ask that all guests use the provided shuttle service for transportation to and from the venue. Please plan to park at one of these locations and hop on the shuttle—there will be plenty of seating and we’ll ensure a seamless ride to the celebration!

Dress code for the event?
Answer
The dress code is formal, but we encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel great! You’ll see a mix of styles, from Western suits to Indian saris—and maybe even a kilt or two. Celebrate with us in your own unique style!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony will take place outdoors at a charming hitching post, surrounded by the natural beauty of the ranch. After we say “I do,” the celebration will continue indoors in a beautifully decorated barn, complete with rustic charm and plenty of room for dancing the night away.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Answer
Comfort is key! The ceremony takes place on a gravel and dirt path, and the barn is also accessed via gravel. Since it is a ranch, we recommend sturdy footwear like block heels, wedges, or flats over stilettos. Feel free to embrace the ranch vibe with boots or any shoes that make navigating the terrain easy and comfortable.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Answer
Yes, absolutely! We’d love for you to capture and share moments from our special day. We’ll even have a QR code available for you to upload and share your pictures with us! However, during the ceremony, we kindly ask guests seated within the first four rows to refrain from taking photos or videos. This allows everyone to be fully present and ensures that our photographer can capture the best shots. Thank you for your understanding!
