Hi everyone! I’m Brittany Oleka, and I’m so honored to be standing by Rika’s side as one of her Matron’s of Honor. Our friendship and sisterhood started through my husband, Eric, who is Rika’s soon-to-be brother-in-law—Theo’s brother. From the moment we met, Rika and I instantly connected, and our friendship has only deepened over time. She’s been such an amazing person, and I feel so lucky to be part of her special day. I’m thrilled to celebrate this beautiful moment as she marries the love of her life! As Theo’s sister-in-law, I’ve had the privilege of seeing their relationship grow, and I’ve always felt that Theo is not just my brother-in-law, but a true brother to me. Watching him find someone as amazing as Rika, who truly complements him in every way, has been such a joy. Their love for each other is inspiring, and I’m so happy to see them start this next chapter of their lives together. It’s an honor to be here celebrating their special day with all of you!

I’m Eric, Theo’s younger brother. I’ve known Theo my entire life (literally). He is both the craziest and calmest person I know. We’ve always had the ideal sibling relationship. We fought, we laughed, we cried, and fought some more. One thing I can confidently say is, Theo has grown to be an amazing man. He is honest and wears his heart on his sleeve. My relationship with Theo has truly been a blessing in disguise. I first met Theo back at Kean University, back when I was in charge of Student Government. During that time, before I got to know him I would always describe him as “the weird kid that was always hanging in my office”, like he would literally always be there. But over time, he really grew on me and I learned just how many things we had in common. If it weren’t for Theo I truly don’t think I would have been as connected to my culture as I am today. We been through so many things together, most notably graduating from the same Master’s program with both of us walking away with Master’s Degrees. God puts certain people in our lives for a reason, and I truly believe if it weren’t for Theo, I wouldn’t be where I am in life today, and because of that I will be forever grateful.

I pretty much knew Theo my entire life. The bond has been the same since we were kids. A true friend who is also like a brother to me. His family is my family. I’m a firm believer that “everything happens for a reason.” I’m so happy Theo found love. The light will continue to shine his way. God places certain people in your life for a purpose. Some temporary, some permanent. I’m truly grateful for our brotherhood and years of friendship.

Hi, my name is Emonie Brown, and it’s an absolute honor to be the Maid of Honor! I met Rika in college, and from our very first encounter, I knew we would be best friends. Since then, we’ve been inseparable. I thank the Lord for blessing me with this friendship because Rika isn’t just a friend—she’s family, a sister I didn’t know I needed. Rika is someone with an incredible capacity for others. She has a gift for building spaces where people feel welcomed and valued, while challenging them to recognize the strength and beauty in their “imperfections.” Through her, I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability with others but most importantly with God. It has been such a privilege to watch Rika grow into the remarkable woman she is today. I’m beyond grateful to walk alongside her on this journey into wifehood and kingdom marriage. Watching my best friend and sister find the love of her life has been an incredible blessing. When I met Theo through Rika, I could immediately tell he was the one for her. Theo is kindhearted and overall a great guy. Most importantly I love how he loves Rika, and how he respects my friendship with her. Together, Rika and Theo bring out the best in one another. Their love is inspiring, and I know without a doubt that their union is God-ordained. I am so blessed to witness their love and this beautiful new chapter of their lives. Rika is one of those friends that comes once in a lifetime. I met her in college in 2015, when I did not have a dorm for a few days. I met her as I was staying in another friend of ours dorm. From then, we had the lovely opportunity to become roommates for 2 years after that. Not only did we click instantly but most of my favorite & funniest moments involved her in it. Now, she’s one of my closest friends and I see her as a sister. Then through her, I met my twin lol Theo! I hear “Nata Nata” in my sleep. He is an incredible pal and an amazing husband to Rika!

I believe I met Rika through Nata. I can’t remember where or how exactly, but I remember it was love at first sight! lol Rika is truly Rikaauthenticcccc. I’m grateful for our fun, transparent, supportive friendship. She’s a girl’s girl in the sense that she will speak into your light! She wants you to shine and shine bright! Many times she’s spoken life in to me by The Spirit of God. How God sees me and what’s He’s invested in me. I can talk to her about anything and no matter what it is there’s a guaranteed laugh. I first saw Theo at KFT and the second time was over a year later at the engagement party! Both times the impression he made was that of kindness, high value for Rika, and a good sense of humor. As the head of the home, Priest of the family I pray that Theo receives a great impartation of wisdom and strength, in Jesus name. The Bible says “a strand of three is not easily broken” I know with Jesus at the center of this union. Joy, peace, prosperity, and longevity remains. Both of them have good clean, hearts. I can see so many people receiving the ministry of help through the fruit of this union. I’m thrilled to see all that God with this marriage.

Hi everyone! I’m Adaora, Anu’s second cousin, and I’m so honored to be her bridesmaid. I’ve been blessed to be visiting her and the family in New Jersey for years, but now, she’s just 45 minutes away in Maryland! Anu has always been like the big sister I never had, and we’ve talked about this moment for so long—it’s hard to believe it’s finally here! When I first met Theo through Anu, I knew right away he was the one for her. The way they complement each other is truly special. Habakkuk 2:3: ‘For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.’ God’s perfect timing has brought you both together at just the right moment, and this wedding is a beautiful testament to His faithfulness. I’m beyond excited to celebrate with them. God is so good!

How do I know the bride? Hmm that’s a good one! Haha. Well I’m the bride’s older sister. I’ve known her since she was zero years old. I have watched her grow into this beautiful authentic soul that she is today and I’m just so proud of her. Theo was one of my husband’s best friends, practically his brother. He went on to became my brother and godfather to my son. I recall telling my sister, this guy is a good one and I think you would love him. And no, I wasn’t playing match maker. Everything that happened thereafter was all them. It was an instant connection and years later, here we are getting ready to see these two become one. I love you both very much and you are both so blessed to have each other. I’m so grateful to have Theo as a brother for life. Remember to always keep Jesus at the center of it all. We participated in different African Associations on campus and continued the friendship even after college. Here we are today almost 16 years later!
