Most people may find Anuka to be eccentric. To be honest, they aren’t wrong. However, what others may see as eccentric—I find extremely lovable. She’s my box of Jelly Belly’s Bean Boozled. A random assortment of colorful and bizarre flavors (sweet, spicy, funky, etc.)—I never know what kind of day I’ll have with her! She always manages to keep me on my toes! Facebook says we’ve been friends since 2011, and these past 9 years have truly taken me for a spin (with Anuka often at the wheel). Our days together are full of ridiculous conversations, gut-wrenching laughter, and plans to take over the world, of course. As much as I would love to keep my infamous partner-in-crime all to myself, I couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate the union of an even more killer duo: Anuka & David!

For the first 6 years of my life, I was the only daughter in my family. I had 4 rowdy brothers, but I really wanted a sister. Thankfully, my wish came true! I’ll never forget the first time I laid eyes on Anuka. When I saw her tiny hands, my heart just melted and I could not wait for her to grow bigger and play with me. Then when she got big enough, she would (annoyingly) always follow me everywhere! When I played with my friends, she would constantly want to be around me. Anuka has always been good at everything-I mean everything! Anything from sports, singing, dancing, creating, etc. People would always comment on how Anuka and I look alike, talk alike, and act alike. But, she is tough yet very loving, soft hearted, honest, smart and beautiful. I couldn’t be more proud of her.

Anuka and I met approximately 9 years ago and we've been close friends ever since. She's always had the craziest style ever since her Mongolian Fob days. She doesn't dress up for anyone but herself, she can literally rock ANYTHING and pull it off. She doesn't care what others think, she's confident, passionate and has the biggest heart. She's always been there for me no matter what, she's reliable, she cares about others more than she cares about herself. No matter how long long it's been. No matter how long we go without seeing each other, we're always able to pick up where we left off. You can either find us eating, or talking naps together...literally every single hangout. I love her so much and am so excited to walk with her in this next chapter of her life.

I first met Anuka when we both worked at Baskin Robbins! We weren’t friends (yet), but my impression of her was that she was a shy and quiet girl. Fast forward a few years, and I realized I was completely and utterly wrong. As it turns out, Anuka is adventurous, bold, compassionate, and everything but a quiet woman. We have laughed and cried over various things throughout the years but the moment that I remember the most is when she came over to my house to nap. Nothing else. Just to nap. I was speechless. This girl seriously came over just to nap at my house? From that moment, and many more thereafter, it was clear to me that Anuka knew how to enjoy life and the people around her. She always reminds me that I need to live life with joy. For that, I am so grateful.

Anuka and I met about 10 years ago at church. All I could remember was Anuka's bright neon jacket, crazy looking earrings, and platform shoes. Over the years, I've grown to know Anuka as someone who is absolutely compassionate, care free, and sassy. She will be the first person to cry in the group when she hears that someone is struggling (and will do whatever it takes to make them happy), and the first to think of the craziest idea (and somehow we always go along with it). I've gotten the opportunity to serve with her in Women's Ministry and the honor to walk with her through seasons of life. I'm so grateful for her beautiful heart, and I can't wait for her to marry the man that will always support and affirm her wildest dreams.

If you went to SWHS, you couldn’t miss Anuka. Before meeting her I always thought “What an interesting fob”. She always stood out with bright colors, a bow or clip in her hair, accessories, accessories and accessories. Hip Hop Club and volunteering at the Rec was definitely the start of our friendship but Church is where I really got to see this girl transition to not being a fob anymore. Just kidding! That’s when I discovered how much she sleeps, eats, do weird and random things, and that’s when I gained a sister through the good, bad and crazy times. Anuka still stands out. She doesn’t even need the bright colors and the bows because her personality and confidence is a statement by itself and that’s why I love her! I'm excited to see her get down on the dance floor!

I first met Anuka at Grace Presbyterian Church back in 2010-2011. It wasn’t until most recently where I can say we’ve gotten closer. Anuka would come over randomly wanting to meet up and ask for advice. Gradually our conversations grew stronger and deeper and felt empowered to continue to serve God together in our most recent new church, New Song. Anuka has always been a strong woman of God who just knows how to love fiercely, care endlessly, and speak in boldness. I am beyond honored and blessed to be a witness and a part of her journey.

"Oh Anuka..that girl is definitely something else. " I've said that countless times back when I first knew her and honestly, things haven't changed. That's what I still find myself saying till this day. I'll always remember seeing her in the hight school cafeteria wearing the weirdest and brightest outfits. But yet again, some things never change. Anuka still wears the weirdest, strangest, outlandish, yet somehow stylish outfits. I think over time, as we went to church, high school, and yes, even hip-hop club together, we became better friends. Out of the many things I can say about Anuka is that she is definitely one you can't ever get rid of. She is there with you and for you till the end! I love her sassiness, boldness, and her love for food and the people around her.

In the first months of moving to Seattle from Korea at the age of 6, I met David at church and there he became my first friend. At the age of 11, I had to move back to Korea and thought I would never see him again nor come back to Seattle. We spent our middle school and high school days playing sports, going to school dances together, and making up for lost time. Even after going away for college for California for 4 years, our friendship had stayed the same from going with him to his first trip to LA and Disneyland, to his proposal adventure in Hawaii and onto this journey to his wedding day. As the years pass, I slowly realize I will not only be his best man but also be his lifelong friend. Cheers to the main 3 and 20 years of friendship! Congratulations !

My favorite memories with David are back in middle school when we'd do almost everything together. We often played Maplestory on school nights, ping pong every Friday at church, tennis with his brothers-- I pretty much lived at the Moon's residence. Fast forward many many years later: came Anuka. For years they were "just friends." Secretly meeting up for food at Buffalo Wild Wings, talking on the phone every morning David had a bad night, little things that pointed to this very day in the making. Never in my life would I have thought David to get married first out of him , Tim, and I. But I couldn't be more excited to celebrate this guy's happily ever after with a woman he would do anything for. Cheers!

I met this brother when I was about 19 years old after I got back from Korea after graduating from high school. We first started talking at GPC. The reason why we got so close to each other is that I became his plus one to any parties or favorite drinking buddy and had spent too much time playing League of Legend together. I've been seeing this man since I was 19, this man's personality hasn't changed at all (which is a good thing), but his heart grew so much and he encourages me everyday. I believe God has so many great plans for him and Anuka. I'm very excited to be part of their lovely life. P.S I sometimes miss that wild David Moon though :)

David has always been a great brother and role model to me. Being a shy introverted kid, he's always been the one to play with me and bring me along when he went out with his friends. Growing up and living with him has been a helluva ride. Whether its him driving home with a side mirror detached from his car after a night drinking or listening to my parents yell at him. But it wasn't until a few years ago that I saw him slowly changing. He started reading every morning, learned how to cook, and started showing more affection towards the family. I'm grateful to see the person he's become and happy that he's finally found somebody to share his journey with. Thank you for always being a good older brother and can't wait to stand as one of your groomsmen.

I met David through Paul Kim, when we were in elementary school. We started to get closer in high school when we began to have classes together. David has a big heart and would do anything for his friends and family. We have been through a lot together growing up and I know for a lifetime that we will always have each other's back. I still remember the first moment David told me about Anuka, he had and continues to have a sparkle in his eye for her. One thing that Anuka and I have in common, is the potential we've seen in David since day one. I can honestly say, since the two of you started dating David has developed into a better and happier individual. Congratulations to the both of you! David and I met a little while ago when we randomly carpooled together to a friend's bachelor party. I didn't know much about David, but that trip marked the beginning of a very close and irreplaceable friendship. While we have only been friends for 4 years, it definitely doesn't feel that way. Whether it was snowboarding, balling, or just hanging out; David and I always vibed. He has someone I trusted and valued as one of my closest friends. In the last four years, I've also had the pleasure of watching David grow into the man he is today. David showed tremendous amount of humility and growth through the ups and downs in life. He is also one of the most honest people I have ever met. David, I cherish and appreciate our friendship! Looking forward to celebrating your marriage!

I have known David since.. we were around 20, and he has been an eventful friend to say the least. After all these years I think the best word to describe David is humility. No matter what situation he is in, he always is willing to take the high ground, and be the bigger person (he is also trying to weight 250lbs, so he's quite big). He is someone that easily forgives, eager to love those closest to him, and can make any situation into a fun one. I'm so happy for you, David and Anuka! So much growth, change, pains, and joys in your relationship that I got to be a part of. Through the good and the bad, I hope that we continue to be there in those moments for each other. David was one of my first friends after moving to Snohomish in 7th grade and has been one of my closest friends ever since. I have so many great memories with David spending countless hours playing basketball, ping pong, hanging out before/during/after school, playing on sports teams, our adventures in Seattle, going to UW and all the other trouble we got into (casino). I have been very blessed to have David as a friend these past 14 years. We have grown up a lot and he has always been there for me. After meeting Anuka and seeing the joy she brings my friend, that shows me what a bright future they will have.
