The year 2011 was particularly difficult for both Antuan and Kaelyn. They both lost their grandmothers earlier in the year and were learning to cope and move past their grief when they met each other in the parking lot of Sam Houston State University's on campus dorms. The connection was immediate and an instant friendship was established. It would be 7 more years before they would take their relationship further but the road to love was paved in a solid and unbreakable bond that endures today.
