Our love story began in Chicago, all thanks to a Hinge match during medical school. Our first date was on a beautiful spring evening where we spent hours and hours talking; eventually the restaurant had to kick us out! What started as a simple “like” quickly turned into something more! The hours between studying and late days in the hospital were quickly filled with amazing memories of exploring the city together - trying new restaurants, wandering Chicago neighborhoods, and laughing with our friends. When residency match season arrived, life took us to different states—Austin to Michigan and Antra staying in Chicago. Despite long hours and long distance, we always made time for one another, proving that love (and a little planning) can thrive even in the busiest seasons of life. Together, we share a love for long walks, adventure, and saying “yes” to new experiences—at least once. Our favorite adventures involve cooking and trying new recipes, with Antra leading as chef and Austin serving as sous-chef (and professional taste tester). What began as dinner and drinks has grown into a partnership rooted in support and love—and we can’t wait to continue this journey together, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
