Some friendships find you exactly when they're meant to. Shortly after moving to Fort Worth, I stumbled across one of Laura's Instagram posts where something about it stopped me in my tracks and spoke directly to my heart. At the time, she was hosting weekly meditation gatherings, and I knew I had to show up. The moment we met in person, it felt like we had simply picked up where we'd left off in some other lifetime. Our friendship has grown into something I truly cherish; deep, meaningful, and full of grace. Laura is passionate, vibrant, and unapologetically herself, and that authenticity is what makes her so magnetic. She is, without question, one of a kind. I am so grateful that an Instagram post led me to her, and even more grateful to now call her one of my dearest friends.

Laura and Natalie were introduced through a childhood family friend of Laura's — and honestly, the universe had already made up its mind. Youngest siblings with two older brothers, Rio Grande Valley roots, dog moms who earned a promotion to bonus moms, and the kind of strong-willed women who decided that sharing life with their person was the boldest thing they could do. They show up for impromptu pool dates, bond over nature walks, and give each other the sistership neither had growing up — loud, loyal, and completely irreplaceable. Some friendships are coincidence, this one was destiny.

Between all of the laughs, the wine, the food, and our mutual love of music, we have definitely made some unforgettable memories! And somehow her hair has tried to get us into trouble along the way but we have always managed to dodge it! She’s an amazing travel buddy, an old soul when it comes to music, and one of the most supportive, loving friends I could ask for.

She’s gifted, wicked smart, unapologetically herself, and always ready for a good laugh, a glass of wine, or a cigar. We’ve been best friends since childhood, growing up just down the street from each other and staying close through every stage of life, including school and university. Even though we now live far apart, our friendship hasn’t changed, we’ve always had that special way of feeling close no matter the distance or time between our chats. From a trip to Cabo and visiting her in South Padre, to our time living in College Station and New Braunfels, we’ve shared so many memories. Some of my favorites include arriving at her condo in South Padre and Rocky (her pup) not barking, something he never did, because he somehow knew how happy she was to see me, and seeing her cuddled up with Miller, my cat, on my spare bed in university, complete with Little Mermaid sheets. And of course, all the fun times from GR! It’s so special to celebrate this next chapter together.
