Ci siamo conosciuti più di 14 anni fa tramite amici in comune. Nel lontano 2010 abbiamo scelto di stare insieme. Io ero ancora una studentessa universitaria, Antonio si era laureato da poco. Abbiamo iniziato entrambi una carriera come avvocati e i nostri studi, la nostra voglia di girare il mondo e il nostro amore ci hanno portato lontano... Abbiamo iniziato a viaggiare insieme presto, prima in Austria, poi in Sicilia, negli anni successivi abbiamo visitato tutta Europa, Cuba, il Sud Africa, il Mozambico, lo Sri Lanka, e successivamente gli Stati Uniti, in cui io ho vissuto per quasi 3 anni. Inoltre, la nostra storia d'amore è stata caratterizzata da passione per la natura e per gli animali, amore per l'arte e la storia, e desiderio di condurre uno stile di vita sano. Ogni volta che abbiamo avuto un po' di tempo libero dagli studi o dal lavoro abbiamo organizzato viaggi emozionanti ed escursioni naturalistiche, visitato fiere di florovivaismo, accudito pesciolini, tartarughine, e gattini, visitato mostre di ogni genere e luoghi storici sia in Italia che all'estero, cercando sempre di mantenerci in forma (tra iniziative plant-based e digiuni purificanti, kombucha e kefir fatti in casa, massaggi sciamanici in un villaggio remoto dello Sri Lanka, e più standard bagni termali e allenamenti in palestra). Ci siamo supportati a vicenda nei periodi più intensi come esami universitari, preparazione per l'esame d'avvocato (io sia in Italia che a New York!), traslochi cross-border, ore piccole al lavoro e così via, sempre mano nella mano, avendo cura l'uno dell'altra. È difficile descrivere nel dettaglio questi quasi 15 anni! Il nostro amore ci ha fatto arrivare fin qui e non vediamo l'ora di continuare il nostro viaggio insieme! We met more than 14 years ago through mutual friends. Back in 2010, we chose to be together. I was still a university student, Antonio had recently graduated. We both started a career as lawyers and our studies, our desire to travel the world, and our love took us far... We started traveling together early, first in Austria, then in Sicily, in the following years we visited all of Europe, Cuba, South Africa, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, and then the United States, where I lived for almost 3 years. Also, our love story has been characterized by a love for nature and animals, a passion for art and history, and a desire to lead a healthy lifestyle. Every time we had some free time from studies or work we organized exciting trips and nature excursions, visited horticultural fairs, looked after little fish, terrapins and cats, and visited exhibitions of all kinds and historical places both in Italy and abroad, always trying to keep fit (testing plant-based initiatives and purifying fasts, homemade kombucha and kefir, massages from a shaman in a remote village in Sri Lanka, and more standard thermal baths and gym workouts). We supported each other during the most intense periods such as university exams, preparation for the bar exam (me both in Italy and New York!), cross-border relocations, late hours at work, and so on, always hand in hand, taking care of each other. It's difficult to describe in detail these almost 15 years! Our love has gotten us this far and we can't wait to continue our journey together!
