Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mara Eccles and Antonio Villafuerte
If you have never been to Austin, or if you want to explore the city where your favorite couple fell in love (aw), here are some of our recommendations!

Must-See

Bats: Austin has the largest population of Mexican free-tail bats in the world, and they congregate under the Congress Street Bridge downtown. There are boat tours at dusk to watch them all fly out in a cloud, or there are places you to stand on shore. Hike & Bike Trail/Zilker Park: this is a beautiful park, whether you go to walk the trail, swim in the spring, or paddle board/kayak. This is the bride's favorite running trail.

Outdoor Activities

Hike & Bike Trail at Zilker Park Barton Springs Pool (natural spring-fed pool) at Zilker Park Paddle boarding or kayaking at Lady Bird Lake Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Walking around the University of Texas at Austin (extra points if you go to the Clark Field to kick a soccer ball - this was the couple's first date!)

Shopping Activities

South Congress: collection of shops and restaurants, more eclectic and bohemian The Domain: upscale collection of stores, restaurants and hotels

Nightlife

Sixth Street: central downtown area of a lot of bars and nightclubs - old school Austin Rainey Street: newer and more upscale set of bars and clubs - newer, fancier Sixth Street
