Hike in Parque Nacional La Tigra For nature lovers, Parque Nacional La Tigra, just 20km from Tegucigalpa, is a must-visit for an unforgettable hiking adventure. This lush cloud forest offers over 7 trails, ranging from easy 2km strolls to challenging 6km treks, winding through misty forests, waterfalls, and vibrant wildlife. Spot colorful birds like toucans, listen for howler monkeys, and discover orchids and bromeliads along the paths. Popular trails like Sendero La Esperanza (moderate, ~4km) offer stunning views, while Sendero Bosque Nublado (easy, ~2km) is perfect for a leisurely walk. The park is open 8 AM–2 PM, with a small entrance fee (~$10 USD). We recommend booking a guided tour for insider knowledge and bringing sturdy shoes, water, and a light jacket for cooler altitudes. A 4x4 vehicle is advised for the access road. It’s a refreshing escape to recharge before or after the wedding festivities!
