Our love story began by means of a simple text message, that would forever change our lives. On May 4th, 2019, Jennifer was at a Rocket’s basketball game, while Tony was at his family’s ranch in Sheridan, Texas. What started it all was an effortless “Hello”. What followed was endless back and forth conversation of us wanting to get to know more of each other. The conversation went well into the night and ended with a “talk to you tomorrow”. Although we had just been introduced, we both shared a common feeling of familiarity with one another. Anxiously waiting to meet in person, we decided to meet the very next day. We both wanted to know, “Is this person real?” What started out as a friendly bond, quickly developed into a strong, deeper connection. Our conversations were meaningful, enjoyable and easy - we laughed, we cried and most importantly we respected each other's thoughts and beliefs. With a common understanding of both of our expectations, we decided to take the relationship to the next level. Then Covid hit. What shut down the rest of the world only made us stronger, together. We genuinely learned from each other, without distractions from the outside world. Fast forward to December 26, 2020, we decided to visit Jennifer's family in Dallas, Texas for the holidays. Unbeknownst to Jennifer, Tony had arranged to propose to her in front of all of her family at a beautiful arboretum park and as they say, “The rest is history … “.
