Gorko means “bitter” in Russian. Russian weddings have a tradition of guests tasting the food and complaining that it’s bitter (“gOrko!!!”). Then all guests start complaining in unison “Gorko! Gorko! Gorko!” until bride and groom “sweeten” the food by kissing each other. Typically, it happens multiple times. So if you feel slightly bored, entertain yourself and yell “Gorko” :)
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.
