Vis Rent - boat and car rental

Vis Rent is the name of an on-Island car rental agency that also offers guided boat trips and rental. Whilst it is not necessary to rent a car for the duration of your stay (everything in town is very close), you may want to rent a car for one or two days to enable you to fully explore the range of beaches, walks, and restaurants that lay scattered across the island. Biking and scootering are other options but please note that the hill out of Vis Town is extremely steep so worth considering if you are planning to rent scooters! We would highly recommend arranging a boat trip for a day. The boats usually fit six passengers and the route we would recommend is to start at Stiniva beach - Diamond beach - Smokova beach - end with Stoncica beach

Split-Vis Ferry Times

Please be careful to match up your flights with ferry times as there are a limited number of services per day. We also recommend that you buy your tickets online and download them onto your phone to avoid having to queue at the port. See the booking website below: https://www.jadrolinija.hr/en/ferry-croatia Prices for the ferry are approximately €5 per journey. However, if you are intending to rent a car at the airport and take it over on the ferry this will increase the price. If you are renting a car in Split rather than on the island, make sure to book your car onto the ferry ahead of time.
