What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal Dress/Black Tie Optional. We want to give everyone a fun chance to get dressed up and celebrate with us! We also want to be mindful that the most important part of this day will happen at the church as we participate in the Sacrament of Matrimony and celebrate the Holy Nupital Mass with all of you. Please no jeans/sneakers, low cut/very short dresses and, if possible, please have a covering for the shoulders. We can't wait to see everyone all dressed up!

Can we take personal pictures/videos during the wedding Mass?

Answer

Our Wedding Mass will be unplugged! We would like our guests to be mindful and present during this special time with us and allow our photographer and videographer to complete their beautiful work.

Can I bring someone not included on the invitation?

Answer

While we would love to invite everyone to the party, we are only able to accommodate those directly included on the invitation.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Our reception will end promptly at 10 p.m. at which time guests will need to exit The Sutherland either via shuttle or other vehicle.

Will there be any events on Sunday?

Answer

We do not have any formal events happening on Sunday. For guests booking within our room block at the Hilton Garden Inn, the hotel breakfast is included in your stay. Guests are welcome to join us in fulfilling our Sunday Obligation to attend Holy Mass on the 11th at 5:30 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest.

Is there parking available at St. Luke's and The Sutherland?

Answer

Yes! Both St. Luke's and The Sutherland offer ample parking space for those looking to drive their own cars or rental cars if you have traveled. A shuttle service will also be available between the Hilton Garden and The Sutherland for those who do not have their cars and need transportation to/from the cocktail/hour and reception.

Will there be pictures taken at the church that include extended family?

Answer

Yes! We ask that all extended family remain close by after our Mass ends to be included in group photos on the altar. Since we only have 30 minutes for pictures after Mass, we ask that everyone remain close by and be ready to have this beautiful memory captured by our wonderful photographer!
