We visited the aquarium and had a great time exploring the mall. Yes, the fish made kissy faces at me first. :) About 12 miles away from the venue.

Great bakery and restaurant. This is their headqurters but they have other locations including restaurants in the Best Western Hotel and The Hampton Inn suites both in Fairfeld.
Dey Mansion Washington's Headquarters
If it was good enough for George Washington to sleep here, it's good enough to visit! About 2 miles away.
Garret Mountain Reservation
Nice place to take a walk and get your steps in. Fishing, birdwatching, scenic overlooks. A little over 3 miles from the venue.
Se7te Woodfire Pizza
Great place for a slice! Less than a mile from the venue.
Preakness Valley Golf Course
Fore you golfers out there. ;) About 2 miles away, next to the Dey mansion property. There's also also a restaurant/bar called In the Drink.
Willowbrook Mall
We actually met in person for the first time in the parking lot of this mall. Have fun shopping or playing games. The mall is about 3 miles from the venue.
The West Essex Diner
One of our favorite places. James recommends the RosaMaria, his favorite dish. Our usual waiter, George, is very animated and talkative. (you've been warned, lol) About 4 miles from the venue.
