Viejo San Juan

You can never go wrong with this area! Explore the colonial area of the island and all the history that comes with it. If you are visiting for the first time, the couple recommends staying around this part of the island. Be sure to visit El Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal, as they are very popular attractions (and national parks!).

Escambron Beach

Make time for Puerto Rico's beautiful, usually public, beaches! This is a tourist beach within walking distance of Viejo San Juan.

El Yunque National Forest

A beautiful, popular rainforest in Puerto Rico. El Yunque is the only rainforest in the U.S. National Forest network and offers beautiful hiking trails, complete with unique wildlife and waterfalls!

Parque Nacional de las Cavernas del Río Camuy

Las Cavernas de Camuy, or Rio Grande Cave Park, is a cave system in Puerto Rico. The caverns are part of a large network of natural limestone caves and underground waterways carved out by the third-largest underground river in the world, the Río Camuy.
