Megan and Anton met at the College of Charleston sometime around 2006 (they think) and became fast friends. Eventually Anton was sweet enough to let Megan park her car in his driveway her junior year. :) When Megan graduated, she and Louisa Young packed up a U-Haul and spent their last night in Charleston bunking up at Anton's place and then hit the road early the next morning for New York City. A few years later Megan moved to Chicago for grad school and then back to NYC and Anton was living in Ann Arbor working on the ice rink. They would see each other and stay in touch, but things really took off when they spent more time together at Dave and Brittany Fleming's wedding. Thanks D & B! Anton and Megan began a long distance relationship and became vegans together. Has Anton told you yet that he's a vegan now? And in the fall of 2017, Anton proposed and officially moved to Brooklyn in the name of love. They moved into their first home together in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn in April and are excited to see how long they can stay in one place. Megan loves her job working in organizational psychology as a leadership trainer and coach with LifeLabs Learning and Anton is working in a leadership role making magic happen at Happy Socks.
They're planning a two week trip to Japan. Please send your suggestions if you have them!
The Glidden House, one of the two wedding hotels, used to be the office of the Psychology Department at Case Western Reserve. Megan's dad used to teach there and had many faculty meetings where the sunroom exists now.
The carousel in the History Center (which they hope you will all ride!) was originally located in Euclid Beach Park on the east side of Cleveland and is beloved by many generations of Clevelanders. Pick out your own horse!
Cleveland has retained many of its immigrant neighborhoods, with strong representation of Italians, Germans, Poles, Ukrainians and many others. They all contribute to the rich foodie scene here. Check it out if you have time! Cleveland is also home to more than 20 microbreweries and two distilleries. Thirsty anyone?
