Antoinette and Mike like to say that they have their own version of“Tinderella” after swiping right on each other’s profiles on the dating app Tinder. After some witty online banter, they decided to go on a few dates and quickly hit it off. Two weeks into knowing each other coincided with Mike’s 30th birthday. Even though it was a milestone birthday, Mike thought it would be important to invite Antoinette to his party despite them still being very new to each other. But that night sealed the deal for them as two things happened that Mike and Antoinette still laugh about to this day. While Antoinette didn’t know anyone, she did a good job acclimating to all of Mike’s friends but what she really appreciated was Mike’s attentiveness. While he was definitely celebrating his birthday pretty hard, Mike still made it a mission to consistently check in on Antoinette and made sure she was well fed with tater tots. Clearly the way to her heart. Later that night, his brother and now best man, Carl made a joke by saying “welcome to the family” to Antoinette to try to embarrass Mike. While both of them shrugged off that comment, it’s funny now thinking that Carl was actually right about something… Antoinette and Mike soon became official due to their common interests of sports, being foodies, traveling and the need to win at every game. Luckily, they are a good team and win together. Antoinette eventually made the ultimate sacrifice and moved from Brooklyn to Staten Island for Mike where their love story continues.
