Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP at your earliest convenience so we can make sure your name is on the appropriate list. Because we are having a small ceremony in a state park we have to beginning finalizing our guest list.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the ceremony for a mandatory safety briefing. We will be going into the caves for the ceremony and if you arrive late or miss the safety briefing there may not be a tour guide available to direct you to the ceremony location.

Question

How will we be entering the caves? Is it safe?

Answer

You will descend a 52 stairs to enter the caves. These stairs are the only entrance and exits into the caves. No worries! They are normal stairs, and remember I'll be doing them in a dress and heels. Once we arrive at the ground level of the cave, the tour guide will direct you down a pathway (about a 5-10 minute walk) through the beautiful cave structures to the ceremony site. The caves are well lit and a cool 65 degrees year round. Ladies, please feel free to wear your cutest flats or sandals. The ground is fairly level but it is not a paved walkway, it is a cave with walking mats. Don't feel intimidated, it is the easiest of adventures and an amazing experience.

Question

How does a ceremony in a cave work?

Answer

Like a dream! This location is something very special to us and we are so grateful to have the chance to share this experience with family and friends. The ceremony will be held inside of the caves! Because the cave does still have active growth (stalagmites, stalactites, geodes, etc.) we will not be decorating very much. We want the natural beautiful of this venue to speak for itself. This also means there will not be seating, so we are keeping the ceremony simple but elegant.

Question

Will there be a reception after the wedding?

Answer

No, because our wedding is so late in the afternoon and people will be traveling we will simple go out to dinner with anyone who is available afterwards. Because we had to keep our wedding guest list small we will be hosting a wedding reception at the end of the week, Saturday, June 19th, at Pinstripes. It will be from 5:30-9:30. We want to make sure everyone has the chance to celebrate with us. There will be food, dancing, and you will get the chance to see our wedding date outfits and footage of the ceremony. Its time to party!

Question

Can I attend both the wedding and the reception?

Answer

Our wedding guest list has to remain small due to state guidelines for cavern safety. Because of this we had to compose our guest list of family and close friends. Everyone attending the ceremony is more than welcome to also attend the reception. However, the reception will be an open event and you are more than welcome to attend the reception if you cannot attend the wedding.
