Lauren and Anthony’s story begins in September 2021, despite briefly crossing paths as members of the same bridal party at a small COVID wedding in 2020. After six years of living in Colorado, Lauren moved back to the East Coast, choosing Philly, a city where some of her best friends lived, to feel at home. Not long after settling in, Lauren developed a crush on her college roommate’s husband’s best friend. (Yes, it’s a mouthful—take a moment.) A few casual hangouts with friends later, it was clear the feeling was mutual, and at that year’s Firefly Music Festival, Lauren decided to make a move. During the final show of the night, empowered by a fun day and a bit of liquid courage, she grabbed his hand when no one was looking to see how he’d respond. The rest is history :)
