Volcanic Hike

9:00 am

Sunday Morning Volcano Stroll

We are kicking off Sunday morning with a relaxed, scenic hike through Antigua. We’ll meet at the yellow arches (Arco de Santa Catalina) at 9:00am. If you arrive a little early, we highly recommend stopping by Siena Luz Coffee & Bookshop for an excellent cup of coffee and some great breakfast bites. We’ll start the hike at 9:10am. The walk will wind through the city, passing several historic churches before heading up to the Cerro de la Cruz lookout. From the top, we’ll (hopefully!) be rewarded with a stunning view of Volcán de Agua, weather permitting. We’ll finish the morning at El Bosque beer garden. A few notes: ~3 miles total with a couple hundred feet of elevation. A relatively mild, social hike. Bring snacks, hydrate beforehand, and wear comfortable shoes. Check the weather beforehand. Thank you so much to our brother-in-law, Justin, for coordinating this adventure!
