Spearfish Canyon

Spearfish Canyon is one of the oldest and most miraculous canyons in the United States. Located in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota, the canyon stretches for nearly 20 miles along a scenic byway where you are sure to capture once in a lifetime photos.

There is nothing like the beauty of The Badlands. It is the definition of Gods country and you wont be disappointed.

Black Elk Peak

We went on one of our first dates here, we both giggled about how out of shape we were and would make frequent stops, blaming it on Anthony's dog Xander. We loved standing at the top of this mountain that is approximately a 7.9-mile loop beginning at Sylvan Lake. Hike Time: Give yourself about 3-4 hours to complete the trail.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

If you visit the Black Hills you are pretty much required to also visit Mount Rushmore. It might be a bit touristy, but it's something that everyone should experience at least once.

Crazy Horse Memorial

This is a super neat place. It is rare to witness a National Memorial take shape, but this location offers this exact rare opportunity. If you come at the right time of year, you can actually hike right up to the face and take in all of the glory of what will surely be an amazing monument for generations to come.

Bear Butte

Bear Butte is a landscape feature that dominates the horizon for miles around. This mountain will be in the back drop of the wedding, but is also a rich source of cultural history and folklore. You can hike to the top if you're so inclined, but you better be prepared for a climb. Bear Butte is an amazing piece of scenery and we are so excited you'll get to see it first hand.
